My Story

Hi, I'm Trang Do — though most people know me as Doris.

I'm a Vietnamese education entrepreneur, sustainability advocate, and mentor working to create more accessible pathways for young people to learn, connect, and participate in global opportunities.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in International Business from Foreign Trade University and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Swiss School of Management in Rome.

In 2026, I will begin the Master of Studies in Coaching at the University of Cambridge. Through this journey, I aim to deepen my understanding of human development, ethical coaching, and the role of technology in personalised learning and mentorship.

My long-term academic and professional interest lies in exploring how coaching, education, and responsible artificial intelligence can work together to make high-quality mentorship more accessible at scale.

Building APPYSIS

I founded APPYSIS with a simple belief: a young person's future should not be limited by where they were born, the networks they have, or the resources available to them.

Today, APPYSIS is growing into an education, mentoring, and youth development ecosystem that connects young people with international scholarships, global programs, career opportunities, practical learning, mentors, and professional networks.

My Journey in Sustainability

Before focusing fully on education and mentoring, I was the Co-founder and CFO of UPGREEN Vietnam, a circular-economy venture that transformed plastic waste into artistic, culturally inspired, and environmentally responsible products.

Through UPGREEN, I explored how sustainability could move beyond awareness and become something tangible: a product, a livelihood, a creative experience, and a new way of thinking about waste.

Although I am no longer part of UPGREEN's founding team, the experience continues to shape how I approach entrepreneurship, sustainability, and community impact.

It strengthened my belief that meaningful environmental solutions must consider not only the planet, but also people, culture, creativity, and economic opportunity.

Coaching and the Future of Mentorship

Beginning my MSt in Coaching at the University of Cambridge marks a new chapter in my journey.

I want to better understand how people learn, change, make decisions, and build the confidence to pursue ambitious goals. I am especially interested in culturally responsive coaching, coaching in education, and the ethical use of AI in mentoring and personal development.

The insights from this programme will contribute directly to the future of APPYSIS, including the development of our mentoring methodology, mentor training programs, and AI-supported learning solutions.

My goal is not simply to help young people secure one scholarship or opportunity. It is to help them develop the self-awareness, skills, networks, and decision-making capacity to navigate a lifetime of learning and change.

Storytelling for Change

Storytelling remains at the heart of everything I do.

Through writing, speaking, video content, and community conversations, I share practical lessons about education, entrepreneurship, scholarships, sustainability, coaching, and personal growth.

Across my platforms, I have built a community of more than 35,000 followers who are interested in learning, global opportunities, and purpose-driven careers.

I do not believe stories should only inspire people for a moment. The most powerful stories help people see new possibilities — and then give them the courage, knowledge, and tools to take action.

Looking Forward

My work continues to evolve, but the purpose remains the same: to make education, mentorship, and global opportunities more accessible to the next generation.

I am especially committed to supporting young people from underserved and underrepresented communities, developing green and future-ready skills, strengthening cross-border youth networks, and building responsible AI solutions that enhance — rather than replace — meaningful human mentorship.

I don’t just talk about sustainability — I live it, build it, and grow with it. I am a sustainability enthusiast – from founding UPGREEN Vietnam with recycled plastic products to organizing recycling campaigns and spreading green living in the community.
